American Documentary Film Festival screen gems:
Persona Non Grata
(with a special appearance by Director Oliver Stone)
In 2002, director Oliver Stone arrived in the Middle East in search of some truths about the Palestinian Conflict. He found them as elusive as Arafat himself. The result of his efforts there was Persona Non Grata – a blistering verite documentary in which Stone set his sights on interviewing leaders of both Israel and the Palestinian Authority during one of the most violent eras in their history. Shot over the course of five explosive days, the film allows well-known principals of the conflict to speak their minds, ultimately demonstrating just how far apart the two sides stand. Interviews include former Israeli Prime Ministers Shimon Perez, Ehud Barak and Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority Minister of Information and Culture Yasser Abed Rabbo, and a group of masked fighters from the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.
Don’t miss Persona Non Grata (with a special appearance by Oliver Stone) – one of the many thought-provoking screen gems you’ll see at this year’s inaugural American Documentary Film Festival. For more information, and a complete schedule listing, visit http://americandocumentaryfilmfestival.com/
