The American Documentary Film Festival Presents MID-LIFE GANGSTER: REDEMPTION SONG, the True Story of Evan  “Bullet” James.

Oscar-Winning Director, John G. Avildsen (Rocky, The Karate Kid) To Introduce the Film.

In what is as much performance art as documentary, Evan “Bullet” James, now a leading expert in the field of extreme intervention services, tells his own life story – from his idyllic childhood in New York City to running with the Playboy Gangsters in Los Angeles, and, finally smoking cocaine in a gas station bathroom before finding his own way to recovery. Evan recounts the events of his early life with honesty, passion and humor.

Performed at a small theater in Los Angeles and captured by documentary filmmaker Anthony Avildsen, a childhood friend of Evan’s, Midlife Gangster: Redemption Song offers an utterly unique look at life, love, loss, addiction and recovery.
