Palm Springs Animal Shelter to host First Annual

Easter PawRade

Adoption Event on Sunday, April 1, 2012

The Palm Spring Animal Shelter will host its first annual Easter Pawrade adoption event this Sunday, April 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its brand new facility at 4575 E. Mesquite Ave.

The free event, which is being presented by Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, will feature special $20 adoption fees, pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, and light refreshments. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, a microchip, and age-appropriate vaccinations.

“We are excited to welcome the Palm Springs community into our beautiful new shelter this weekend and introduce them to the wonderful dogs and cats we have available for adoption,” said Palm Springs Animal Shelter Director Leslie Tisdale. “The Easter Pawrade is sure to result in many new lifelong friendships.”

The new Palm Spring Animal Shelter opened in October 2011 and its staff and volunteers have since been working towards establishing a progressive organization that will serve as a national model. One of the goals for the new facility is increasing the number of adoptions, and the shelter is already seeing significant results.
